2015 Goodbye to Almyne.

1st
Got the web site up and running and purchased a 'burner' phone for selling Almyne.

2nd
A couple of interested parties one of which came out and visited but decided that the bed was too short as the guy was over 6 ft tall.

At last a bite. A young guy came and looked at Almyne with his step father. They both went over her with a fine tooth comb and made an offer, which I accepted. They then asked if I could deliver Almyne to London, which was out of the question but I agreed to get her to Fazeley Junction the day after tomorrow.

The big day. Set off early to get to Fazeley by 10am. Half way there the gear box started playing up. It only needed the cable fixing tightening but I had no tools with me at this point. Rang Richard to appraise him of the situation and dropped my phone in the bilges. All covered with oil and diesel. Fortunately I had my burner phone with me but it entailed changing the sim card every time I wanted to talk to Richard or when I wanted to talk to the purchaser. Got the gear box working and limped to Fazeley. Once moored up I felt a bit more confident but I didn't want the purchaser to take her for a run before paying, after all I had just motored eleven miles with her so she must be OK.
Richard had come along to 'count the cash' as I felt that he would be able to detect forgery by feel. As it happened the sale went off without hitch and we all went on our ways.
