Romance in rhyme
I understand
Alone in a crowded room
To Geri
Happy Birthday Note
I've had the tests
A few days
Without you
My Life
You're not there
Time is not measured
Muddy Towpath
To ebony
There are times in life, when talk stands still
And words don't seem to work
No matter how you try, they will
The bad ones will always lurk
Once uttered they'll not go away
No matter how you fight
You've said them now, they'll haunt you till
Hell freezes, or heaven bursts alight.
We all say things when in a fit
In temper or in strife
They live with us, regretfully
For all a long, long life.
I think I've learned to curb my tounge
But from time to time
When I'm attacked with words and stung
I briefly lose my mind
It happened just a while ago
My love just lost her cool
She told me things I don't believe
At the time I felt a fool
She'd found another lover
It was me that was the fool
She was protecting herself
The words were just a tool
To save herself, and me as well
I think, I could be wrong
Maybe I should just forget it all
Try something new. A bong!
