Romance in rhyme
I understand
Alone in a crowded room
To Geri
Happy Birthday Note
I've had the tests
A few days
Without you
My Life
You're not there
Time is not measured
Muddy Towpath
To ebony
I travel England's waterways
It gives me peace of mind,
And almost every day I pause
To take time to unwind.
I marvel at the beauty
Of seasons passing by,
And know that it will still be there
When I come to die.
I smoke, I drink, but don't take drugs
They're really not for me,
My time is much to precious
To waste it on the wee
d.
I travel almost every day
Just a mile or two,
And mostly when I reach a lock
I carry on right through.
To most my life's idyllic
And I really must agree,
But still there's something missing
A companion for me.
So as I travel day by day
Along this great big puddle,
From time to time I'd like to pause
To share a hug and cuddle.
